Dan T. Cook
Executive Director
Dan spent 15 years as a currency, energy and derivatives trader before transitioning to a career in adventure travel. He has twice rowed the length of the Yukon River in Alaska and Canada and recently completed a 27-month, 75,000 mile around-the-world fly fishing odyssey. In 2009, Dan rowed a 17 ft rowboat 3,500 miles down the Missouri & Mississippi Rivers to raise awareness of issues facing disabled servicemembers. Dan was named to the 2006 OUTSIDE Magazine’s “OUTSIDE One Hundred: Top 100 People, Adventures and Ideas.” His travel adventures are featured at www.flyfishingtheglobe.net.
Patrick J. Holley
Director
Patrick is Vice President – Wealth Management for Smith Barney in the Washington, D.C. office. He graduated from the George Washington University with a degree in a Bachelors of Business Administration and resides in the District of Columbia with his wife, Leigh, son Pierce and daughter Palmer. Patrick is active with several non profits organizations in the Washington area. In addition, he’s an avid sportsman and a nationally ranked squash player.
James D. Mayol
Chairman
Jim has been an attorney since 1984 and is a partner in the Law Offices of Mayol & Barringer. He is also secretary/general counsel and a managing member of Pacific Southwest Container, LLC a diverse packaging company in northern California. He has served on various non-profit boards and is pleased join the board of Rivers of Recovery, combining public service to those who serve our country in combat with his life-long passion for fly fishing. Jim and his wife, Birgitt, have two children, Joseph and Jacqueline.
Jeffery D. Weekly
Director
Jeffery serves as the Founder and Principal of Capitol Health Solutions, a Washington-DC based consulting and lobbying firm. He has nearly 20 years of health care experience and has served as a health policy advisor in the United States Senate and as a senior pharmaceutical consultant to the President's Task Force to Improve Health Care Delivery for Our Nation's Veterans which sought to better align the DoD and VA health care delivery systems. Most recently he served as the Health Staff Director for the House Veterans Affairs Committee in the US House of Representatives. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and son, Spenser in Warrenton, Virginia.
Jeffrey J. Kimbell
Director
Mr. Kimbell is founder and President of Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based boutique lobbying firm specializing in representing life science companies before the U.S. government. In addition to Kimbell & Associates, Mr. Kimbell is Managing Director of Jackalope Real Estate, LLC (Park City, UT) and President of Magnum Entertainment Group, Inc. (Washington, D.C.). In 2010, he was elected to the board of the Government Affairs Committee of Safari Club International.
Recently, he served as President of the City Tavern Club of Washington (2005 - 2007) and The Capital Club of Washington (1997- 1999). Mr. Kimbell, his wife Jessica and son Hunter are avid sportsmen; fly fishing, hunting, and skiing at locales throughout the world when the U.S. Congress is in recess.
Mitchell Butler
Director
Mitch Butler works with Natural Resource Results LLC representing clients on government affairs issues with an emphasis on natural resources conservation, historic preservation and public lands. Mr. Butler began working with Natural Resource Results in December of 2008, having recently served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior where he was responsible for policy development, management and oversight of the National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Prior to joining Interior, Mr. Butler served as an Associate Director and Attorney Advisor for the White House Council on Environmental Quality where he was responsible for the development of natural resources conservation and historic preservation policy.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Butler spent six summers as a fishing guide in Alaska. He is a graduate of the University of Denver College of Law and the University of Vermont. Mr. Butler and his family reside in Washington, DC.
Michael Rubenstein
Director
Michael Rubenstein is the Managing Director and Director of Research for Rocky Mountain Wealth Concepts (RMWC) - a Jackson Hole, Wyoming based investment advisor - which specializes in hedge fund, private equity and private credit investing. RMWC was founded by former partners of Bain Capital and utilizes insights and experiences central to Bain Capital’s successes to manage its principal investment portfolio for clients throughout the United States. Michael, also, serves as a board member for the Teton County Library Foundation, and, formerly, was a member of the Teton County Search and Rescue team. He enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, and river rafting. He resides in Jackson Hole with his wife, Jenny.
